In Russia, building in wood has a long history. Soviet construction methods almost erased this rich tradition. However, in the last decades we see a revival of wooden construction. Many well-known architects use wood as a construction material, thus giving this traditional material a modern application. The ARCHIWOOD competition brings together the most interesting examples.
